Day one - Negombo

According to the arrival time the representative of Steplanka Tourss comes to Colombo airport to warmly welcome you with paging your name at the paging area at the Colombo airport inner lobby.

We move to Negombo (12 kms away from Colombo airport and 20 minutes drive)

Negombo is situated in West of Srilank and it is the fourth largest city with mix of water and land which has been called as a fishing village. The Negomo lagoon is the landmark of the city and it is 12 kilometers away from the Colombo airport. Negombo is very famous because of beautiful white sandy pebble beach with blue water. Negombo is very popular among the tourist who comes to admire the beauty of miraculous Srilanka.It is the starting point of the journey.

Day two – Yala National park

Yala national park (320 Kms and 6 hours drive)

Yala National Park is most visited park for last decades in Asia because it is ‘One of Asia’s top wild life destinations’ among the others and declared as wild life sanctuary. Yala is very popular among the tourist because it embarrassed with varieties of wild animals.It is very proud to say that the highest leopard densities can be experienced only in Yala National Park., not only leopards but also 44 species of mammals can be seen with Srilankan elephants(300 to 350),Srilanka sloth Bear, wild water buffalo, spot dears, toque macaque, golden palm civet, read slender lorries ,fishing cats and 46 species of reptiles with mugger crocodile and salt water crocodile too are living freely. The flying creatures make much attraction to the national park.215 bird’s species can be found in the park and 06 of them are endemic. They are Greyhornbill, Srilanka jungle fowl, Srilanka wood pigeon, Crimson-fronted barbet, Black cupped bulbul only living in Srilanka.

Day three – Mirissa beach

Midigama and Mirissa beach (150 Kms and 03 hours drive from Yala)

Mirissa beach is very popular among the tourist because it is white sandy pebble blue worm water beach with low waves. Snorkeling, diving, surfing too can be done.

In the evening we visit Galle Dutch fort and Hikkaduwa beach and turtle hatchery in Kosgoda.

Day four - Bentota

Day one – Pinnawela and Kandy

We move to Pinnawela elephant orphanage 78 km and 1.5 hours drive) Pinnawela elephant orphanage is another attractive place among the tourist who can visit more than 100 elephants and 24 baby elephants in a closer manner. Feeding baby elephants and riding on elephant are great activities in the orphanage.

The department of wildlife reservation set foundation to take care, medicine and nutrition the orphanage elephants which are found in jungle which are wounded or helpless. The elephants are taking to the river two times a day (10 am and 2 pm) for bathing, so the tourists too have the opportunity to walk with the elephant to the river to experience the elephant which are playing with the water.

We move to Kandy (60 Km and 01 hour drive) and en route spices garden. In the evening we visit sacred Tooth relic’s temple of Buddha and cultural dancing show.

Day two - Nuwaraeliya

After breakfast we move around Kandy for a Kandy city tour and Peradaniya botanical garden then visit hill country Nuwaraeliya. (100 km, 02 hours drive and 6200 meters above the sea level) En route visit Ramboda water fall, blue field tea factory and tea gardens.

Nuweraeliya is central high land of Srilanka which is 180 kilometers away from Colombo and 6200 meters above the sea level. It is the most coldest (12 centigrade to 15 centigrade ) place and legendary and historically very important place in Srilanka.On the way to Nuweraeliya we pass beautiful sight seen of birds eye view of nature because we are climbing mountains with green beautiful environment  with acres and acres of tea plantations . We pass Ramboda water fall which is one of attractive waterfall in Srilanka.

Especially, it provides suitable soil and weather condition to grow healthy tea plantation in Nuweraeliya.So there are so many tea plantation and tea factory can be seen. We are going to Blue Field tea factory to see how the tea production is occurring in Srilanka.

Day three - Ella

After breakfast we move to Ella by train.

Train trip Nuwaraeliya to Ella.

It takes two and half hours driven by train to Ella and the journey brings a bird’s eye view of tea plantations, waterfalls, green mountains and Ella Gap. The train goes through the mountains and you can see the train from the head to the tail when you sit inside the train because the train is climbing the mountain like a circle. You reach Ella after two and half hours drive by train with great memories of nature. Our Chauffeur guide is coming to the Ella railway station to meet you in time.

It is historically very famous place because the British writer Emerson Tenant says that the world famous harbor  was called as ‘TASIS’ and King Salomon had taken peacocks , tamed elephants, ivories, pearls and gems using this harbor according to the Old Testament in the Bible in ancient time. In 14 century AD, Ebon Batuta wrote that the harbor was well establishing one. In 1505 Portuguese arrived to Srilanka and made a fort using bamboo trees for the trade. In 1638 Dutch arrived to Srilanka and had the power over the Portuguese in Gall fort. The Gall Fort was a great place for the trade, so they made the fort and harbor using especial kind of mud and corals in a strong way with a big wall around the fort, warehouses, officers, light house, prison, strong gates with hikes and more than six bastions where cannons had placed can be seen even presently. British had too used the Gall fort and they have taken tea, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, gem stones and other valuables through the harbor from 1798 and 1948.The mixer of European architectures from Portuguese, Dutch and British can be seen presently and the marine museum is another important to visit to have a good understanding about the ancient naval power of Europeans.

Day two – Mirissa

Wales watching

Early in the morning at about 7 am we are leaving to deep sea to watch Wales and Dolphins by well protected high engine boats. It is a nice and happy journey where we provide suitable breakfast, coffee or tea, water bottles and other equipments. The Blue Whales are the largest animal in the world which comes to Mirissa beach during the months from November to March. They are very largest sea creature reach leanth more than 100 feet and weights approxcimaltly 100 to 150 tones. The large creature’s skin color is very attractive like gray-blue colors. . Not only Blue Whales but also Sperm Whales, spinner Dolphins and melon headed Dolphins are abounding in Mirissa Sea.

After some hours with elephant we move to Dambulla cave temple. (80kms and 02 hours drive) We visit Dambulla cave temple with guide of the chauffeur.

It is a well painted natural cave temple where different postures of Buddha’s statues can be seen and they are made out of natural rock, plaster, and granite or wooden with well painted very colorful ones. Dambulla cave temple is unique and important site because of the amalgamation of the material from many eras

Day three - Sigiriya and Kandy

Early in the morning we visit Sigiriya lion rock with experience magnificent the sun shine.

It was a city; palace, garden complex and most of the people believed that it as an 8th wonder of the world. The Lion’s Rock or Sigiriya rock is Srilankan most recognizable landmark and not only natives but also many tourists daily visit the world famous rock fortress because it is a well famous World Heritage site published in 1982 by UNSCO. The Lion’s Rock is 200 meters high and half way to the Rock the visitor has the ability to see the world famous 5th century AD Frescoes. There were more than 500 paintings and there were more than 1000 grafties can be seen but 687 grafties have read and understood in present. After Lion’s paw we reach the summit where we experience the ruins of the palace and the swimming pool where it gives bird’s eye view of the surrounding.

After the climbing the rock

It is optional to visit Minnariya national park wild safari and herbal massage places. Then we move to Kandy (95 kms and 2.5 hours) En route we visit spices garden.

In the evening we go to the sacred tooth relic temple of Buddha.

Kandy is most attractive and famous city not only among natives but also among foreign people because of its beauty. UNESCO did not had two minds to declare it as living World Heritage Site in 1988.It is the second largest city in Srilanka and 465 feet above the sea level. The surrounding mountain range, geographical setting and artificial lake bring much beauty to the city. The king’s palace and the British period buildings give us unique mixer of cultural new experience to the visitor. Kandy is home for the Sacred Tooth Relics of Buddha and it is the most venerable worshipping Relics to every Srilankan. Kandy is politically and religiously well known place in Srilanka. The department of wildlife reservation set foundation to take care, medicine and nutrition the orphanage elephants which are found in jungle which are wounded or helpless. Day three

After breakfast we move to Ella by train.

Train trip Nuwaraeliya to Ella.

The train goes through the mountains and you can see the train from the head to the tail when you sit inside the train because the train is climbing the mountain like a circle. Wales watching

Early in the morning at about 7 am we are leaving to deep sea to watch Wales and Dolphins by well protected high engine boats. The Blue Whales are the largest animal in the world which comes to Mirissa beach during the months from November to March. In 14 century AD, Ebon Batuta wrote that the harbor was well establishing one. In 1505 Portuguese arrived to Srilanka and made a fort using bamboo trees for the trade. In 1638 Dutch arrived to Srilanka and had the power over the Portuguese in Gall fort. The Gall Fort was a great place for the trade, so they made the fort and harbor using especial kind of mud and corals in a strong way with a big wall around the fort, warehouses, officers, light house, prison, strong gates with hikes and more than six bastions where cannons had placed can be seen even presently. British had too used the Gall fort and they have taken tea, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, gem stones and other valuables through the harbor from 1798 and 1948.The mixer of European architectures from Portuguese, Dutch and British can be seen presently and the marine museum is another important to visit to have a good understanding about the ancient naval power of Europeans. Day ten – Negombo

After breakfast we move to Mihintale – The birth place of Buddhism in Srilanka.

Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It is now a pilgrimage site, and the site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures. After visiting the pilgrimage site we move to Negombo beach (175 KM and 04 hours drive)

Day one - Negombo

According to the arrival time of the flight,

We move to Negombo beach - (12 kms and 20 minutes drive)

Negombo is situated in West of Srilank and it is the fourth largest city with mix of water and land which has been called as a fishing village. The Negomo lagoon is the landmark of the city and it is 12 kilometers away from the Colombo airport. Negombo is very famous because of beautiful white sandy pebble beach with blue water. Negombo is very popular among the tourist who comes to admire the beauty of miraculous Srilanka.It is the starting point of the journey.

Day two and three - Kalpitiya - kite surfing (135 KM and two and half hours drive)

Kite surfing in Sri Lanka is booming! During the South-West monsoon from May to September the peninsula of Kalpitiya delivers 20 knot winds day and night, peaking around 26 knots. Blessed with a number of flat water lagoons, wave riding spots in the ocean and an archipelago of sandbanks and islands creating breathtaking sceneries, Kalpitiya is paradise for kite surfers.

For the one who wants to learn kite surfing, The Kite School offers full beginner courses (by IKO and AKI certified instructors) in the safe environment of our own shallow water teaching area in the Kalpitiya Lagoon. Day four – Wilpattu National park

After breakfast we move to Wilpattu national park (145 KM and 04 hours drive from Kalpitiya)

Wilpattu National Park is the oldest and largest national park with full of flora and fauna. It is 180 KMs away from Colombo and there are more than 60 natural villus or pounds can be seen. The soil is naturally read color and Flores like sea vegetations, Sault grass and endemic trees like Vira, Palu and Ebani abounden at Wilpattu.The mammals like Srilankan wild elephants, leopards, water bafflers, spot deer, sloth bear, wild boar, monkey and fox can be seen in the park.

Specially, colorful endemic birds like jungle fowl, brown cap bulbar, black cap bulbul and wood shrike make much beauty to the nature.

After breakfast we experience the ancient city of Anuradhapura

Day Six – Mihintael and Trinconamalee

After breakfast we move to Mihintale – The birth place of Buddhism in Srilanka.(20 km and 25 minutes drive )

Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It is now a pilgrimage site, and the site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures.

After visiting the pilgrimage site we move to Nilaveli beach

Trincomalee - The east cost of Srilanka

For a truly pristine, unadulterated beach experience, there is no place better than east cost. Nilaveli and Uppuveli lie to the north of Trincomalee and have for many years provided worm hospitality on stunning wide sandy beaches.

After breakfast we go on boat ride to Pigeon Island marine National park 1 KM away from off show. It is a great place to do snorkeling and diving.

Day Eight – Trinconamalee

Whale watching

Early in the morning at about 7 am we are leaving to deep sea to watch Wales and Dolphins by well protected high engine boats. It is a nice and happy journey where we provide suitable breakfast, coffee or tea, water bottles and other equipments.

The Blue Whales are the largest animal in the world which comes to East cost during the months from June to Octomber. They are very largest sea creature reach leanth more than 100 feet and weights approximately 100 to 150 tones. The large creature’s skin color is very attractive like gray-blue color. After one hour from Mirissa beach we have the ability to see the largest sea creature in the world, the blue whales. Not only Blue Whales but also Sperm Whales, spinner Dolphins and melon headed Dolphins are abounding in the east coast. After spending more than three or four hours with these great sea creatures we are heading back to Nelaveli beach.

Day nine – Sigiriya lion rock

After early breakfast we move to world famous Lion rock Sigiriya. (150Km away from Nilaveli beach and two hours’ drive)

On the way visit Pinnawela elephant orphanage

Pinnawela elephant orphanage is another attractive place among the tourist who can visit more than 100 elephants and 24 baby elephants in a closer manner. Feeding baby elephants and riding on elephant are great activities in the orphanage.

The department of wildlife reservation set foundation to take care, medicine and nutrition the orphanage elephants which are found in jungle which are wounded or helpless. The elephants are taking to the river two times per day (10 am and 2 pm) for bathing, so the tourists too have the opportunity to walk with the elephant to the river to experience the elephant which are playing with the water. After experience the Kandy city tour and visiting the Paradaniya botanical garden we move to hill country Nuwaraeliya. (100 km, 02 hours drive and 6200 meters above the sea level)

En route we visit waterfalls, tea factory and tea gardens.

Nuweraeliya is central high land of Srilanka which is 180 kilometers away from Colombo and 6200 meters above the sea level. It is the most coldest (12 centigrade to 15 centigrade ) place and legendary and historically very important place in Srilanka.On the way to Nuweraeliya we pass beautiful sight seen of birds eye view of nature because we are climbing mountains with green beautiful environment with acres and acres of tea plantations . We pass Ramboda water fall which is one of attractive waterfall in Srilanka.

Day ten – Ella

After breakfast we move to Ella by train.

It takes two and half hours driven by train to Ella and the journey brings a bird’s eye view of tea plantations, waterfalls, green mountains and Ella Gap. The train goes through the mountains and you can see the train from the head to the tail because the train is climbing the mountain like a circle. Our Chauffeur guide is coming to the Ella railway station to meet you in time.

Ella provides suitable environment conditions for those who fond of Hiking and Tracking. Ella rock is a place where the people use to climb because of the gorgeous scenery and to watch the tea pluckers and to feel the comfortable environment. After Srilankan breakfast we move to Yala national park (130 km and 03 hours drive)

En route we visit Rawana falls and Buduruwagala biddhist temple.

Yala National Park is most visited park for last decades in Asia because it is ‘One of Asia’s top wild life destinations’ among the others and declared as wild life sanctuary. Yala is very popular among the tourist because it embarrassed with varieties of wild animals.It is very proud to say that the highest leopard densities can be experienced only in Yala National Park., not only leopards but also 44 species of mammals can be seen with Srilankan elephants(300 to 350),Srilanka sloth Bear, wild water buffalo, spot dears, toque macaque, golden palm civet, read slender lorries ,fishing cats and 46 species of reptiles with mugger crocodile and salt water crocodile too are living freely. The flying creatures make much attraction to the national park.215 bird’s species can be found in the park and 06 of them are endemic. They are Greyhornbill, Srilanka jungle fowl, Srilanka wood pigeon, Crimson-fronted barbet, Black cupped bulbul only living in Srilanka.

Next day after breakfast we are heading to Gall Fort after optional breakfast to kick start the day, Gall fort is 175KMs away from Mirissa beach and three hours drive on the costal belt.

It is an ancient natural harbor and UNSCO has accepted as a World Heritage Site. It is historically very famous place because the British writer Emerson Tenant says that the world famous harbor was called as ‘TASIS’ and King Salomon had taken peacocks , tamed elephants, ivories, pearls and gems using this harbor according to the Old Testament in the Bible in ancient time. In 14 century AD, Ebon Batuta wrote that the harbor was well establishing one. In 1505 Portuguese arrived to Srilanka and made a fort using bamboo trees for the trade. In 1638 Dutch arrived to Srilanka and had the power over the Portuguese in Gall fort. The Gall Fort was a great place for the trade, so they made the fort and harbor using especial kind of mud and corals in a strong way with a big wall around the fort, warehouses, officers, light house, prison, strong gates with hikes and more than six bastions where cannons had placed can be seen even presently. British had too used the Gall fort and they have taken tea, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, gem stones and other valuables through the harbor from 1798 and 1948.The mixer of European architectures from Portuguese, Dutch and British can be seen presently and the marine museum is another important to visit to have a good understanding about the ancient naval power of Europeans. After breakfast we move to Polonnaruwa (120 Kms and 03 hours drive from Trinconamalee)

Early in the morning, we move to Pinnawela elephant orphanage (78 km and 1.5 hours drive) to catch the baby elephant feeding activity.

Pinnawela elephant orphanage is another attractive place among the tourist who can visit more than 100 elephants and 24 baby elephants in a closer manner. Feeding baby elephants and riding on elephant are great activities in the orphanage.

The department of wildlife reservation set foundation to take care, medicine and nutrition the orphanage elephants which are found in jungle which are wounded or helpless. The elephants are taking to the river two times a day (10 am and 2 pm) for bathing, so the tourists too have the opportunity to walk with the elephant to the river to experience the elephant which are playing with the water. Nuweraeliya is central high land of Srilanka which is 180 kilometers away from Colombo and 6200 meters above the sea level. After breakfast we move to Ella by train. It takes two and half hours driven by train to Ella and the journey brings a bird’s eye view of tea plantations, waterfalls, green mountains and Ella Gap. Day twelve – Galle

Next day after breakfast we are heading to Gall Fort after optional breakfast to kick start the day, Gall fort is 175KMs away from Mirissa beach and three hours drive on the costal belt.

It is an ancient natural harbor and UNSCO has accepted as a World Heritage Site. It is historically very famous place because the British writer Emerson Tenant says that the world famous harbor was called as ‘TASIS’ and King Salomon had taken peacocks , tamed elephants, ivories, pearls and gems using this harbor according to the Old Testament in the Bible in ancient time. In 14 century AD, Ebon Batuta wrote that the harbor was well establishing one. In 1505 Portuguese arrived to Srilanka and made a fort using bamboo trees for the trade. In 1638 Dutch arrived to Srilanka and had the power over the Portuguese in Gall fort. The Gall Fort was a great place for the trade, so they made the fort and harbor using especial kind of mud and corals in a strong way with a big wall around the fort, warehouses, officers, light house, prison, strong gates with hikes and more than six bastions where cannons had placed can be seen even presently. British had too used the Gall fort and they have taken tea, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, gem stones and other valuables through the harbor from 1798 and 1948.The mixer of European architectures from Portuguese, Dutch and British can be seen presently and the marine museum is another important to visit to have a good understanding about the ancient naval power of Europeans.
